ALLIANCES FOR FUTURE

We understand at Amara NZero that a just energy transition requires forging solid alliances for the future that allow us to deploy our social contribution and create a positive impact in the communities where we are present.

We actively participate in the most relevant sector associations and establish collaboration agreements with other economic, social and educational actors to jointly develop initiatives that contribute to generate a positive social impact.

UN Global Compact

Amara NZero has joined in 2021 the United Nations Global Compact as a Signatory member.
We publicly declare our commitment to adopting responsible practices in the areas of human rights, labour rights, environment and anti-corruption and we promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).

We consider our supply chain partners as essential business partners in achieving our climate change goals for a just, inclusive and sustainable energy transition.

We apply environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria in the selection and hiring decisions, and we demand compliance with our Supplier Code of Ethics at Amara NZero Group.

In addition, we actively integrate risk management throughout our supply chain, implementing due diligence actions to ensure compliance with human rights.

This practice reflects our commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility, ensuring that all parties involved in our supply chain operate according to the highest ethical and legal standards.

SOCIAL ACTION FOR NEXT GENERATIONS: AMARA NEXTGEN FOUNDATION

We believe in a just energy transition that protects the legacy for future generations.

To achieve this goal, we carry out intense social work through numerous initiatives related to child protection, energy access for vulnerable groups and the promotion of training as a means of social inclusion.

The evolution of Amara NZero's strong sense of social responsibility led us in 2022 to establish Amara NextGen Foundation, an entity that has become the best example of how we take action to contribute to achieving a fairer and more equitable society.

SAFETY, HEALTH & WELLBEING

For Amara NZero people are the main asset and their safety, health and wellbeing are fundamental aspects that we integrate and apply to our activity through a management system certified according to ISO 45001:2018.

We approach Health and Safety according to the following principles, which are developed in our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Policy [pdf]:

GUARANTEE compliance with legal requirements by our own staff and those of collaborating companies.
INTEGRATE the criteria of safety, health and welfare in decision making.
PROMOTE the obtaining of certifications.
ENCOURAGE the participation of workers.
COMMUNICATE risk situations to prevent harm.
LEAD and set an example by complying with and enforcing the principles.
